A US Navy Korean veteran, Richard D. Kerr, began his insurance career in 1963 with Aetna Life Insurance Company, he later worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. In 1972, Richard started his own agency and continues today to represent various life and health insurance companies.
From the time Richard began selling insurance, he has been active in various life insurance agency associations such as NALU (National Association of Life Underwriters), later to become NAIFA (National Association of Financial Advisors), and The American Society of CLU. He served as President of The Lehigh Valley Association Of Life Underwriters from 1986-1987 and was the founding President of the Pocono Life Underwriters Association and held his position from 1991-1992. He also served as President of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the CLU Society from 1980-1981. Richard also served as a Regional Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania NAIFA Association for 16 years.
Richard received his CLU designation ( Charted Life Underwriter) from The American Collage in 1972 and the ChFC (Charted Financial Consultant) in 1983. In 2007 he was awarded the "Scott D. Jackson Very Important Pennsylvanian Award" for his invaluable and continual contribution to NAIFA-POCONO, NAIFA-PA, NAIFA.
